The Windows app

• Installs on Windows 10 and 11 in one click, for your user only

Text Story writes a new story when you change the setup

Change the story type or anything else in Setup after a story is written, and the Script step offers a new story instead of quietly keeping the old one.

The editor: split lines, text on screen and a timeline for every format

Every format now opens in a fuller editor.

• Split a spoken line at any word without recording it again; the voice file is cut
• Text on screen: titles, numbers and labels with their own timing, position, size, font, colour and look, on a Text track
• Voice volume for each spoken line
• Timelines for Faceless Story (scenes, text, sounds), Text Story (messages) and Quiz (questions)
• Undo history is kept for each video while the app is open
• Clips at the top can start part-way in, and gameplay has a start point
• Faceless Story gets the Sound and Text panels

The preview bar follows the video smoothly

The position bar under every preview no longer updates the page on every frame, which could slow the app down under load.

Posting options, Faceless Story from a link, end cards and languages

• YouTube settings: privacy, category, made for kids and AI disclosure, kept with the video
• Faceless Story can start from a public web page, and has a sound effects switch
• One end card panel in the wizard and the editor: website, colour, logo, font, and whether the music stops. A new end card starts from your brand kit
• Text Story phone labels in all 34 languages
• Captions: a fallback font for more alphabets, capitals that follow the video's language, and Chinese, Japanese and Thai split into words without breaking one

Character Explainer setup says what it will really do

• With your own script there is no picture switch or picture cost, and you can cast up to 6 characters
• Speech speed shows each character's own speed unless one speed is set for everyone, and lengths use the speeds that are voiced
• Sound effects can be added without the script review
• New: a watermark opacity slider in the wizard and the editor
